Supercar maker Saleen, best known for the S7, is taking a dive into the mainstream sports car market, and with the S5S Raptor, it’s gunning for the Ferrari F430 and Laborghini Gellardo. The S5S Raptor features a 5.0 liter, 550-bhp engine. Price: $185.000.

9: Noble Fenix


The first car from Lee Noble’s Fenix Automotive is the “Fenix Supercar”, it will come in two varieties, the main one with a LS9 engine from the Corvette ZR1, with 638-bhp and top speed of 200mph. Price: $90,000.

The spiritual successor to the iconic SL300, the SLS AMG is not just a powerhouse with a 6.2 liter 563-bhp engine, but also one of the most luxurious GT cars on the market, clearly gunning for the Aston Martin DB9 and DBS. Price: $210,000.

7: Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce


Lamborghini’s flagship car, (other than the very limited Reventon), the Murcielago, is getting a new update in 2010, with the 6.5-liter V12 going from 632-bhp to 661-bhp, while the weight drops by almost 200lb, poising as the fastest production Lambo ever made. Price: $450,000.

6: Lotus Evora


Lotus Evora is Lotus’ first venture into the GT car space, and it has resemblance to other Lotus cars, with aluminum bodywork and a mid-placed engine, this time from a Toyota Camry, a 3.5-liter V6, tuned by Lotus to deliver 275-bhp. Price: $70,000.

5: Aston Martin DBS Volante


The Volante version of arguably the best Aston Martin ever made, the DB9-based DBS, it features the same 6.0 liter V12 with 512-bhp, but adds around 50 lbs to the overall weight because of the fordable roof. Still, it manages the same 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph. Price: $300,000.

4: Ferrari 599 GTO


One of the most powerful Ferrari’s built to date, the 599 GTO is the road version of the 599XX track car, and it will have the same 6.0 liter, 700-bhp monster engine, and with a top speed of 220 mph, it’s quicker (and more powerful) than the Enzo. Price: $500,000.

Henrik Fisker, the designer of the Aston Martin Vanquish and DB9, went and started his own company, Fisker Motors, and the first car is none other than a hybrid sports car, and quite possibly the best looking sports sedan in the world. It’s got a 2.0 liter engine to recharge the batteries for the two electric motors, which together deliver over 400-bhp. The car has a 50-mile range on electric motors only. Price: $88,000

2: Ferrari 458 Italia


The successor to the Ferrari 420, the main sports car of Ferrari (and the best selling one), the 458 Italia is not only far more technologically advanced, but features a brand new engine which delivers 560-bhp out of an 4.5 liter engine, with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Price: $220,000

The flagship Aston Martin supercar, only 77 vehicles will ever be produced, it’s the most powerful, most expensive Aston Martin car ever made. A 7.3 liter V12 produces over 700-bhp which brings the car to a top speed of 220 mph. Price: $1.700.000
